You heard it here first: if you replace a meal with a tall glass of fresh juice, then all that liquid pouring out of your juicer is weight loss juice. Better still, with a juice fast, you will watch the weight fall off daily. During my very first 30-day juice fast, I lost 30 pounds of body fat and completely transformed my health. During the fast, food addictions were broken, resulting in a brand new eating lifestyle. In other words, unlike what happens with so many other diet programs, I didn’t put the weight back on, and I can still say this 20 years later.
All fresh juice will help you lose weight as long as you use it as a meal replacer and don’t just add a glass of juice to your already fattening, toxic diet. Below are some recipes that are especially low in calories. But it’s important to remember that it’s not just about calories; if you drink a glass of low-calorie green juice and an hour later eat a Snickers bar because you’re starving (more like craving), well, good for you for getting those extra juice nutrients but sadly, you will not lose weight. You would have been better off drinking a tall glass of sweet pineapple juice, which will satiate your sweet tooth, and skip the Snickers bar. For this very reason, I have added some chocolate bar replacer juices with the lower calorie green juice.
