As I wrote in my blog post:
Reduce Jet Lag When Flying , Naked Juice has been a lifesaver when flying throughout the US. I’m not a big fan of recommending one brand over another if they provide equal quality, but I know this juice is recognized and sold just about everywhere in the US and Canada, so that’s why I am talking about it here. There are other brands like Boathouse, Odwalla, Evolution, etc. Again, if you have a favorite brand, then let me know about it in the comments below and add a link to their website.
There are times when even I do not have time to make fresh veggie juice, or when I’m traveling and cannot make it myself. I have learned the lesson the hard way. It is so important to me to maintain my healthy diet , especially when traveling. After all, I don’t care how well you plan a trip or how much money you spend, your enjoyment level depends on how well you feel. Personally, just a day or two of eating airport food and I am quickly reminded I made the change to a healthy diet 23 years ago.
What I love about these juices is how easy it is to get piles of micronutrients into the bloodstream within minutes. Yes, you will spend $4 for a bottle at the airport. But you will spend $8 for a salad that has barely 10% of the nutrients as one small bottle of Naked Juice, even less if they use iceberg lettuce. You might as well eat the container it’s in.
Many of these juices have added ingredients like: Barley Grass, Blue Green Algae, Broccoli, Chlorella, Choline, Fiber, Garlic, Ginger, Parsley, Grape Seed Extract, Spinach, Spirulina, Vitamin A, Vitamin B3, Vitamin B5, Vitamin B6, Vitamin B12, Vitamin C, Vitamin E, Wheat Grass, Whey Protein and Zinc. That is why you are paying more for it than you would for a bottle of V8. Also, have you ever wondered why a bottle of V8 can sit on the shelf unrefrigerated for twenty years, while a product like Naked Juice must remain cold and only lasts two to three weeks? Just saying.
If you want to max out on nutrients then get the veggie juices. If you cannot stand the taste of veggie juice (then man up and drink them anyway), then berry juice is the next best thing. You may have heard this before: “eat your fruit, juice your veggies.”
